VIENNA, WV (September 25, 2007)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team won the MACS sanctioned Harvest 50 at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, OH this past Saturday. The 50-lap feature event paid $5,000 to win and drew 58 drivers. Steve would qualify 8th fastest out of the 58 drivers entered and finished 2nd in the dash to earn the outside front row starting position. At the drop for the green flag Steve pulled into the lead and showed his strength throughout the feature leading all 50 laps to capture the victory. It was Steve's sixth (6th) "Harvest 50" win in the annual event.

Steve also competed on Friday at Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH in a MACS sanctioned event. The 50-lap $5000 to win feature saw Shaver start from the pole position but fell to second on the start. Shaver hounded David Scott for most of the 50-laps but settled for a solid 2nd place finish. "We had a really good car all weekend and finally got the results to show how good we have been all year except for some bad luck. It was great to get my 6th Harvest 50 title and win at Skyline again. My crew has really given me some fast racecars here lately and this weekend we were able to show it", stated Steve 

Steve and the Shaver/Cosgrove Racing Team will travel to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville IA this coming weekend to compete in the Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals. The 100-lap feature event will pay $35,000 to the winner and will be taped to air on SPEED Channel later this year.
