VIENNA, WV (July 13, 2007)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team competed in several events over the past week with mixed results. This past weekend Shaver competed at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio in a 40-lap $2,000 to win feature event. Steve would battle up front among the leaders all night and finished a strong second place to Josh McGuire at the checkers. The July 4th week of racing was very busy for the Shaver Motorsports Racing Team. Steve would compete in the WoO sanctioned "Firecracker 100" at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA on June 30th. Shaver would make the starting field for the feature but finished a disappointing 24th in the final run down.

From there Steve and the team traveled to Portsmouth Raceway in Portsmouth, Ohio for a 50-lap $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event on Sunday July 1st. Steve would set fast time for the event but again suffered mechanical problems and finished 21st. Steve would compete the very next day Monday July 2nd at Midway Speedway also in the state of Ohio for a $10,000 to win UMP Summernationals feature event. Steve would run strong for the most of the event and finished 6th at the checkers. From there Steve would travel and compete in another Lucas Oil late Model Dirt Series event at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville Ohio on Tuesday July 3rd. Steve would make the feature event and finished 14th in the final run down.

Steve is still uncertain where the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team will compete at this weekend.
