VIENNA, WV (June 14, 2007)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team competed in the Dream 100 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg Ohio over the weekend. Steve driving the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing, Ludicrous Energy Drink, Drywall Systems Inc, Malcuit Race Engines, Rocket Chassis would finish 4th in the fifth heat race and would have to run the B-main to earn a spot in the 24 car field for the 100-lap feature event. Steve would win the B-main and would start the $100,000 to win feature event from the 21st starting position. Steve would run in the back of the field during the early stages of the event and soon found out the track conditions were different from the B-main that Steve won earlier in the evening. Steve would eventually pull off the track after being lapped by the leaders and called it a night finishing 19th in the final run down.

"It was good to make the feature with 142 cars entered. We had hoped to run better in the feature but they watered the track right before the feature and our car was set up for the track conditions similar to the consi that we won. Once I got lapped there was no need in putting more laps on our equipment", stated Steve.

Steve and his team will take a weekend off this weekend and will race again Saturday June 23rd at KC Raceway in Ohio. The 50-lap feature event will pay $5,000 to the winner and will be sanctioned by the IRS Series. To learn more about the IRS Series visit their official website at www.irsracing.net.
