VIENNA, WV (October 17, 2007)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team competed at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, OH this past weekend in a 50-lap $5,000 to win IRS sanctioned event. Steve would start 12th in the feature and moved into contention for the win in the closing stages of the feature. Steve would battle Doug Drown and Rick Aukland in the final laps but came up just a little short finishing a strong 3rd place in the final run down. "We had a really good car and had a shot to win and just fell a little short. Maybe if we had started further to the front we might have had more chances to get the lead. Overall it was a good run for us", stated Steve.

Steve and the Cosgrove racing team will travel to KC raceway in Waverly, OH this weekend to compete in the mega event the Dirt Track World Championship. This year's event will pay a whopping $50,000 to win and $2,000 to start the feature event this Friday and Saturday October 19-20th. Over 100 drivers from all across the country are expected to enter this weekend's event.
