Vienna, WV (November 2, 2006)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team will travel to Cumberland MD this coming Friday and Saturday and compete at the Allegany County Speedway for a pair of MACS sanctioned events. Each night will be a complete show with the feature event paying $5,000 to win each night. The weekend events named “The Big Kahuna VI” will be sanctioned by the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series and will feature racers from all over the east coast at the place they nicknamed “The Rock”. Steve and the Cosgrove Racing Team will end their racing season for 2006 at the MACS sanctioned events this weekend. Steve will not race again until the 2007 season begins around speedweeks. Shaver Motorsports and the Cosgrove Racing Team will begin preparing their equipment for next year following this weekends events. Steve the 2006 North/South 100 Winner at Florence Speedway is eagerly looking forward to the 2007 racing season and more marketing promotions in association with his new sponsor Ludicrous Energy Drink. “2006 has been a pretty decent year for our team and to partner with Ludicrous Energy Drink late in the year will help us tremendously going into 2007. Winning the North/South 100 was a great accomplishment for us and we hope to build on that and win several more crown jewel events in 2007”, stated Steve from his home in West Virginia.
